The Friends of Billy Wood are urging the community to support its traditional winter hawthorn-bashing session.

The session takes place on Saturday, December 6 and will be followed by baked potatoes and festive treats.

Please wrap up warm for this activity and be sure to wear thick old clothes - we will be battling some extra thorny shrubs!

Meet at Kippax Leisure Centre, Station Road, Kippax 10am.

Tools, materials gloves and hot drinks will be provided.

Children are welcome but under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
