All the work at Home Lea House in the town will now be finished by the end of December.

It is the final phase of a £1.2m improvement programme to 17 council residential care homes across Leeds which has included general refurbishments and redecoration, new conservatories, creating visitors' rooms, replacing large lounges with smaller sitting rooms, improving bedrooms, bathrooms and dining rooms and laying out safe, accessible gardens.
