Oulton & Woodlesford Sports & Social Club set to build on success

Oulton & Woodlesford Sports & Social Club is set to benefit thanks to a funding boost from Leeds City Council.

The club is home to a variety of sports teams for all ages, including Oulton Rai
ders Rugby League Club and Oulton Owls junior football club.

Many of the sides have experienced great success in recent years, and the club is now looking to expand.

The Council has agreed to help by providing £119,000, which will help the club build four brand new changing rooms.

The car park will also be extended to ease match day congestion.

Councillor Andrew Carter (Conservative, Executive Member for Development) said: "Some of the sports teams based at Oulton & Woodlesford Sports & Social Club have had some tremendous success recently. The club is a pivotal part of the local community and gives people of all ages an opportunity to play sport and stay active.

Coun Carter added: "I am delighted we have been able to provide this money, which will help them to build on their recent achievements and will allow even more people to get involved and play a part in their future success. As a result I am sure you will see the club go from strength to strength in years to come."
