This year they had a guest appearance by Judith Hibbert, who is a very capable s
oprano and comedienne.

The choir sang a selection of seasonal songs, including an Peter Kitson's arrangements of O Holy Night and Silver Bells. Peter, a former Musical Director of St Raphaels, was in the audience. The evening commenced and ended with two popular Christmas carols.

Judith Hibbert was a real gem, entertaining everyone with a selection of songs in the first half, including a melodic tour of Britain. In the second half, her performance was more with comedy in mind ... including renditions of Julie Andrews, Gracie Fields and Joyce Grenfell songs.

The choir were conducted by Joyce Sale, their present Musical Director and Ruth Stradom accompanied on the piano.

The church was full and the audience enthusiastically showed their appreciation of the choir and guest artiste. At the end of the evening Joyce, Ruth and Ruth were presented with floral bouquets.
