Bearded boys create grooming business in Leeds home
Luke Clifton, 29, and Tom Sheard, 24, are the brains behind Gentlemen’s Chuckaboo - a new range of products for men’s beards and moustaches.
The bearded boys create the oils, waxes and balms at their home in Farsley and have seen interest soar since they launched last October, with Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis recently choosing it as one of his Small Business Sunday (SBS) award winners on Twitter.

So they hit the books to study before beginning the business, mixing oils in the evenings after a day at work.
With old-fashioned, Victorian-style branding, Gentlemen’s Chuckaboo beard oils include as The Gigglemug, The Bludger and The Nose Bagger, which features vitamin E, sweet almond and jojoba oils, and peppermint, frankincense and lime essential oils. They also have the premium ‘Elixir’ range, which includes the more expensive argan oil, as well as scents such as lemongrass and pine. “These have a lot more oil so give the beards more shine,” says Luke.
“I love mixing the oils. I just work with essential oils that are really beautiful. It’s brilliant.”

Luke added: “We have had some great business propositions which could really lead to amazing things, it’s incredibly exciting at the moment.”
