How inspirational fundraisers are ensuring Childrens' Heart Surgery Fund continues - YEP Comment
After seven hours of open heart surgery, they gave her four-year-old daughter Alayna the gift of life.
The youngster, who was born with life-threatening congenital heart disease, will still need a heart transplant at some point in the future but for now she is recovering well and looking forward to starting school later this year.

Hide AdAnd it was thanks to the support of the team at the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund that she was able to spend time at her precious daughter’s side so she could stay just minutes away from her.
Now she is saying thank you by raising money for the Fund during Ramadan.
The unit has proven time and time again that it is a lifeline to so many families.
And during this challenging time it is thanks to inspirational fundraisers, like Sameeda, who make sure it remains at the heart of our city.
