Police have given a brief update about their ongoing investigation after human remains were found at a waste recycling centre in Leeds earlier this week.
The remains were found at Skelton Skips on Knowsthorpe Way in Cross Green on Monday morning. Officers attended to “assess the remains and establish the circumstances”.
There was a large police presence throughout Monday and there has been ongoing activity since.
Today (Wednesday), a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Extensive enquiries remain ongoing including specialist searches at the site.”
