Leeds went ahead in the 20th minute as Rodrigo headed home from close range after a Jack Harrison shot had been deflected to the back post. But Fulham drew level just six minutes later as Aleksandar Mitrovic escaped Luke Ayling to head home a corner at the near post.
The Whites then had chances to bag the game's third goal but so did Fulham and the Cottagers got it in the 74th minute when Bobby Decordova-Reid headed home an Andreas Pereira cross from the second phase of play from a corner.
The mood inside Elland Road turned and Fulham bagged a third goal in the 84th minute when Harrison Reed weaved through the Whites defence and set up Willian for a tap in and the damage had been done before substitute Crysenscio Summerville pulled a goal back in the last minute
Graham Smyth, the YEP’s chief football writer, hands out the scores from an afternoon in which Elland Road turned on the Whites board and head coach Jesse Marsch.
1. Illan Meslier
6 - Will want the first goal back but recovered to make a big one-v-one save. Could do little with the second or third. Photo: Stu Forster
2. Luke Ayling
5 - Was able to get forward and help out, made a number of vital defensive interventions but had a part to play in the first and third Fulham goals. Photo: George Wood
3. Liam Cooper
6 - Looked infuriated with his side's defending. Had his hands full all afternoon and battled. Photo: George Wood
4. Robin Koch
5 - Sold a dummy for the third. Wasn't as effective as he has been this season but helped save a goal in the first half. Photo: Stu Forster
5. Pascal Struijk
5 - Gave Leeds a bit more solidity in that position, played some nice passes but couldn't prevent the second or third goals coming from his flank. Photo: Stu Forster
6. Marc Roca
6 - Some good play in the first half. At times had nothing ahead of him to hit, no movement. A few errant passes here and there. Photo: George Wood
