Leeds United fans who chanted Patrick Bamford's name throughout the England match shouted out on ITV

Friends Sam Bird, 22, a payroll administrator, Jack Caulfield, 24, a print assistant, James Parkinson, 25, a warehouse operative, Alex Webb, 23, a warehouse operative and Ryan McGuinness, 25, an analyst, cheered on the Leeds United striker "because he should be in the squad".
Sam, speaking to the YEP, said the group had a brilliant day supporting the England team at the Riverside Stadium.

Hide AdHe said Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips got an unbelievable reception when his name was called out on the tannoy pre match.
Sam said the group got a few jeers due to their Leeds United flag, but it was "all in good fun".
Their cheeky exploits were even shouted out by the ITV commentary team, as millions watching at home heard Bamford's name ring around the stadium at every opportunity.
Sam said: "The day was good, there was a brilliant atmosphere in and outside the ground with both England and Romania fans.

Hide Ad"I may be biased but I’d say Phillips got the loudest reaction out of any player when the team was read out.
"As always being a Leeds fan there were a few jeers around us for the flag and the chants, but all in good fun."
Sam said his friends group were "bored of seeing squandered chances" by the England strike force so decided to chant for Bamford because he "should be in the squad".
He added: "It turns out there were quite a few Leeds fans around the ground as quite a few joined in with them.
